International AQUAPILATES Programme to Launch in Ireland This June
The Leisure Experts are set to welcome internationally recognised aquatic fitness educator Mariano Solier to the island of Ireland this June as the AQUAPILATES Certification Course arrives in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland for the first time.
The one-day certification courses will take place in Armagh on 13 June and Dublin on 14 June, bringing a globally recognised aquatic fitness concept to Irish aquatic professionals as demand for innovative and inclusive water-based exercise programmes continues to grow.
Developed by Mariano Solier, AQUAPILATES combines traditional Pilates principles with the unique properties of the aquatic environment to support posture, mobility, balance, flexibility and core control. The programme has been delivered internationally across nineteen countries and is widely recognised within the aqua fitness sector for its practical application and accessibility.
The introduction of the programme to Ireland reflects the growing interest in diversified aquatic fitness opportunities within leisure facilities, swim schools and health-focused aquatic programming.
Mariano Solier has spent more than two decades working within the aquatic fitness industry and has developed multiple aquatic education programmes throughout his career. His work has focused on creating accessible, purposeful movement experiences that can be adapted for a wide range of participants and abilities.
Speaking ahead of the Irish courses, The Leisure Experts highlighted the importance of bringing international education opportunities directly to professionals working within the local leisure sector.
“As the aquatics industry continues to evolve, there is increasing demand for high-quality specialist education that supports instructors in delivering varied and engaging aquatic programmes,” said Joni Harding, Director of The Leisure Experts.
“Hosting AQUAPILATES in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland provides aquatic professionals with access to internationally recognised training without the need for overseas travel, while also supporting the continued development of aquatic fitness across the sector.”
The courses are expected to attract gym instructors, personal trainers, swimming teachers, aqua instructors, Pilates professionals, fitness coaches and leisure operators looking to expand their aquatic fitness provision and explore new approaches to movement in water.
Throughout the training day, participants will explore Pilates principles adapted specifically for aquatic environments, alongside exercise technique, aquatic alignment, class design and practical pool-based instruction.
The Leisure Experts look forward to welcoming Mariano Solier to Ireland this June as AQUAPILATES reaches its nineteenth country.
